This new body of work explores the limits of language and the possibilities of meaning.

So much is left unsaid and remains unspoken. Words are, sometimes, not enough. Yet, paradoxically, some words are often so overused they become meaningless. As a result, we might feel at a loss for words or cannot convey meaning anymore. Still, the impulse for communication persists.

These paintings seek to express that that cannot be translated into words. Sets of ambiguous signs, marks, graphics remind us of ancient languages, cave paintings, and children scribbles. First attempts at writing. They are the beginning of a hypothetical language.
